The entrepreneur Claudio Liu wanted to propose a new culinary experience in his restaurant. It is based on the creation of 2 separate rooms: a traditional Sushi Counter, and a culinary restaurant with a more free and contemporary cooking.
The project was commissioned to the renowned architecture firm Lai Studio.
Architect Maurizio Lai designs a restaurant where Japan finds an original and unconventional interpretation, between noble materials and cuts of light. The result is a place where new aesthetic canons and a poetics of autonomous matter intertwine. Light becomes an instrument of the story that accompanies the guest to discover a new level of experience.
Our company, Hi.Project s.r.l., with its own “Brillamenti®” brand, intervened in this work by providing, in addition to the LED lighting bodies, also a technical support.
Specifically, we have defined, by dimensioned drawings:
- the position of the LED lighting bodies, by dividing them for the products typology,
- the emission light angles based on the characteristic of the areas to be illuminated,
- the turn on of the lights, highlighting the various groupings.
The resulting lighting checks, divided by areas of interest, allowed us to confirm the adequate luminous flux and the achievement of the objectives required by Lai Studio.
The spectacular light installation that accompanies customers on the path that leads from the restaurant entrance to the dining rooms deserves a consideration. Designed by Arch. Maurizio Lai, this work is composed of 240 glass suspensions positioned at determined heights and illuminated by optical fibers.
In addition to making the designer’s idea concrete, we tried to facilitate installation by studying both a particular system for attaching cables and optical fibers to the glass, and a particular system for fixing the cables to the ceiling.
